The house is gently positioned within a sweeping valley view and an extraordinary proliferation of grass trees. Rather than asserting itself upon the bush landscape, the architecture feels embedded within it. ⁠

The house extends along an east–west axis, allowing every bedroom and the primary living areas to receive generous northern sunlight while framing scenic views toward Mount Macedon and Mount Towrong. Tailored to the family’s lifestyle and fondness for gathering, the indoor kitchen, dining, and living spaces open seamlessly to the outdoor dining, lawn, and pool. ⁠

As the house is located in a colder climate, it thoughtfully uses passive solar orientation, BINQ Australian-made high-performance timber double-glazed windows and doors, and thermal mass in the concrete slab to maintain comfortable temperatures year-round—a real combination when aesthetics meet performance.⁠
