Our Timber products can either be Raw, Primed or Stained. Our low VOC staining material is imported from Germany and specifically designed for Timber Windows and Doors. To ensure that all areas of the timber are coated, all finishing is completed prior to any glass or hardware being fitted.
Finishing consists of a four part process.
Prepping
Each unit is bogged, puttied and sanded to ensure that the finish is soft, smooth and consistent.
Priming
The priming (base coat) of the unit by dipping it into a staining tray, which penetrates the timber and treats for rot an infestation, then the unit is hung to try in a controlled temperature enviroment, which generally takes 24 hours.
Re Prepping
Once the unit is dry, it's lightly sanded to ensure that an even and consistent finish is achieved throughout.
Top Coat
It then progresses into the finishing line and the top coat is applied by a spray gun at approximately 400 microns thick (equivolent to 3 coats of paint). The unit is then placed in the drying room which again is at a controlled temperature enviroment.
